Well I'm sneaking this review in before the promised next one...


OMG....

Okay let me start from the beginning. I have always been a fan of series books because I fall in love with some if not all of the secondary characters. Then I wait with bated breath for the next installment. I always have one character though that becomes my favorite and I absolutely can't wait for them to get their own book. Then they do and I'm sadly disappointed. It doesn't stand up to my vision for the character. The author acts as if they rush to give this one time minor player a quick HEA.

Not so for Black Hurricane. Jazz has and will always be my favorite of the Boston Boys story Erica Pike has written. As a total fangirl of the author I have bugged her on Facebook, twitter, Goodreads....you name it I've been there....just waiting to hear when Jazz will get his story.

I'm not gonna lie there was a small part of me that was terrified of reading his book and being disappointed once again. So I put it off for as long as I could. Damn but that was stupid. This book far exceeds my expectations. She has given the good time party boy who doesn't believe in love a story that made me laugh and cry. I also wanted to seriously punch his lights out from time to time. Erica Pike has shown a vulnerable side to Jazz that I never dreamed he possessed. I am so blown away by this book that it will be on my re-read list forever (as are her other two).

I would highly recommend this to everyone and if I could give more stars I totally would.

While my muse is away I will Play

Yes I'm afraid to admit, I am suffering from what is fondly known as Writers Block.

My muse has decided to take an unscheduled vacation without telling me.....This isn't the first time he's done this, however, I thought he had learned his lesson (clearly not). So while he is off roaming the corridors of my overly imaginative mind I will take this opportunity to review a few books I've read recently.

Disclaimer: I am NOT a reviewer but a major fan of reading romance novels. These reviews are just mine and mine alone. The authors did NOT ask me to rate their books. I have my own rating system of Booty Shakes.

Okay so with that out of the way.

The first book is MEMORIZING YOU by D.W. Skinner.

OMG did I love this book. Even though it was a work of fiction, it was more of a memoirs type novel. I felt like I was in the main character's head the entire time.What he felt.. I felt. His joy, his sorrow, his fears. His remarkable and realistic way of handling every situation. I laughed and cried and by the end I felt a euphoric sense of calm.

This book really will leave you believing in love....

I rate this 5 out of 5 booty shakes...

Well done Mr. Skinner, I hope to read more from you in the future.

Sizzlin Summer

Whew

I don't know about the rest of the country but it has been sweltering down south this summer (more so than usual)((I'm ready for fall))

But it hasn't kept me from writing.....

I'm working on two stories at the moment then I will begin work on YA project for homeless gay teens....

I'm really excited about that...

So I hope everyone has had an enjoyable summer with your families and friends....

So it's been awhile since I've blogged as usual, lol.

So many things have been going on that I've had no time to catch my breath.

But the best thing is my debut book for the MLR Press 80's mixed tape anthology. Never Gonna Let You Go

I have gotten some pretty amazing reviews (and some... meh) but I expected that as everyone isn't always going to agree on what they like. But I've used it as a learning experience for future books and so appreciate people reading my story and taking the time to share their thoughts...

Surreal Moment

Okay so my first ever published book came out last week with MLRPress...........Big squee for that!!!

Then I got to be excited with my first reviews on Goodreads....which means someone actually bought my book!!!!...............another Big Squee!!!

Today I find my book on ARe AND Amazon!!!! WOW.......

Life for the moment is really, REALLY good!!!!

My story is finally here....I truly don't have the words to express my excitement.....this is like a dream come true for me......It was such a fun story to write and set during my all time fave decade.....the 80's.....
